The inaugural Brian's Excellent Holiday Bowl Adventure schedule was reduced from 42 to 35 games by pandemic cancellations and schedule reshufflings, a process that voided our built-in tiebreaker. Thus do we crown co-champions in 2021: Luke Chapple (San Jose, CA) and Dan Bullock (Alameda, CA).

Back in the formative days of the internet, I was enlisted by my buddy Ray Pagano (Alameda, CA) to help him transfer his wildly popular college bowl pool online.
in a stroke of digital irony, it turned out that modernizing Ray's Bowl Pool led to its demise. Or maybe it had just run its course: Ray (pictured with me) moved on to thoroughbred racing. I focused my efforts on the Bread Pool, and the sun set on Ray's Bowl Pool shortly after the turn of the millennium.
But prompted by some late-night texts and a few follow-up discussions with Ray and another longtime BreadHead and friend from the island city of Alameda, Kenny Arnerich, the holiday bowl pool has been reincarnated -- Meadow of Shame style -- for the 2021 (plus New Year's Day 2022) college football postseason.
With Ray's Yuletide blessing (after a few glasses of bourbon nog), we proudly introduce Brian's Excellent Holiday Bowl Adventure!
Beginning with the Bahamas Bowl on Friday morning, December 17 and concluding with the Sugar Bowl on New Year's night, our pool includes 42 games over the span of 15 days. Your task is simple: Pick all 42 games against the listed point spread, then assign each a confidence number, 1 through 42, depending on the surety of your convictions: Give the game whose outcome in which you are most confident a 42, the game in which you're least confident a 1 . . . and so on, using each of the 42 numbers once. First place will be awarded to the entrant who accumulates the highest total of the 903 possible points, second place to the second-most points, and so on.
